What is happening this week?
General Announcements
- Please help us by reminding your child to CHECK THE AGENDA each day and to make sure they are prepared for school with all of their materials, including homework. Also, we are continuing to encourage a growth mindset. With a positive attitude, effort, and hard work, the sky is the limit for your wonderful children!
- Tuesday, January 24th is “BGIS SPIRIT NIGHT” at Jason’s Deli from 5-9 p.m. at the Highway 150 location. Just let the cashier know you are from Brock’s Gap so our school will be given credit. Thank you for supporting Brock’s Gap!!
- Please make plans to attend the Brock's Gap Growth Mindset Parent Academy on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 from 6:00 - 7:30 pm. Parents will have the opportunity to attend two mini-sessions of their choosing from Aspire Testing to Math strategies to Choosing just right books for your student(s). Childcare will be provided and dinner can be pre-ordered. More details to come!
- BGIS will be participating in the National Salute to Veteran Patients Toiletry Drive. We will be collecting toiletry items to give to Veteran patients at the VA Hospital here in Birmingham the during the month of February. There is no federal money to buy these items and they are so appreciative of them.
- Please continue to support our school through "Planet Fundraiser." It is so easy! You just have to download the free app “Planet Fundraiser” to your phone. There are several merchants who are participating. You simply snap a picture of the receipt into the app, and Planet Fundraiser gives a portion of the proceeds back to the school. These are merchants that you use every day! We encourage you to utilize this easy resource to raise money for Brock’s Gap!!
